Marukome’s products are produced in sanitary and highly efficient factories certified by the international food safety standard ISO22000. Strict inspections are conducted on the raw materials from the purchasing stage, and only select materials are used. Our main raw materials, soybeans and rice, pass through advanced sorting equipment to remove any foreign matter. Important processing conditions such as temperature and time are controlled and measured during the steaming, mixing and fermentation processes, in order to ensure consistent product quality. Contamination prevention measures according to Marukome’s own standards, such as filtration, metal detection, and X-ray imaging are implemented during product mixing and filling processes. The products are shipped only after passing another set of strict quality inspections. Machine operators receive vocational education several times a year as part of Marukome’s daily pursuit of better product quality.
